From recently published gems such as Ryuichi Sakamoto: A History in Music to Shogakukan’s staple bilingual series, The Bilingual Guide to Japan and The Arts and Ethics of Zen Temples, between March 16th and March 19th Shogakukan’s books took center stage at the Association for Asian Studies Annual Conference in Boston.
Held each spring in North America, the AAS annual conference is the largest gathering of Asian studies scholars in the world and brings together over 3,300 attendees. Over the course of the three-day conference, hundreds of sessions, a keynote address, an award ceremony, multiple networking receptions and an exhibit hall featuring leading publishers, academic programs and digital resources aim to advance knowledge and enrich teaching about Asian regions at all levels.
